Chicken Sambhar

Dunno whether anyone would have already prepared sambhar with chicken pieces, but i did actually accidently...Few months back,we invited some of our relatives for a sunday lunch and i was planning to prepare chicken fry and sambhar with mixed vegetables..so i prepared cooked dal and meanwhile i have washed and marinated chicken pieces for making chicken fry...While started stirring the onion and tomatoes for sambhar, accidently i added the ginger garlic paste which i kept aside for making chicken fry...at that moment, i really dunno wat to do and was blinking like anything...suddenly i thought of adding those marinated chicken pieces to the cooking veggies and started sauting the marinated chicken pieces, finally added the cooked dal with sambhar powder and finished as a delicious chicken sambhar, for my surprise our relatives enjoyed having this chicken sambhar and almost a big hit at that time, from that day onwards this fabulous chicken sambhar took an important part in our non-vegetarian menu...This chicken sambhar suits prefectly with rotis, idlis, dosas and with hot steaming rice...Do try friends u will surely love this...Am sending this chicken sambhar to VIki's The Potluck-Chicken...

chicken sambar is good receipe. In most of the places in Karnataka the chicken Sambar and mutton sambar are very famous & common. Infact most of the time chicken sambar are prepared in home and generally we have this with Ragi balls(Ragi mudhhae) and Rice.
Just try Ragi balls with chicken/mutton sambar...it is very delicious.

Thanks so much for posting this. All the kids loved it. The marinade overcame my husband's love/hate relationship with chicken. A recipe that everyone in our American / Chennai / ABCD family loves has to be exceptional. I'm so glad you posted your accidental discovery.
