Dunno wat to do with leftover bread slices, bored of making toasts n having them as sandwiches??? just look at this recipe, u will turn out those left bread slices as delicious n crispy vadais with handful of grated vegetables of ur choice..they goes prefect as dahi vadais r else as sambar vadais.. can also have them for snacks with spicy coconut chutney r else as side dish for any rice dishes...
8nos Bread slices
3/4cup Rice flour
1no Onion ( chopped)
1no Carrot (grated)
2nos Green chillies
1tsp Fennel seed powder
1/2tsp Baking soda
5 nos Curry leaves
2tbsp Coriander leaves
Salt as per taste
Oil for deep frying
1/2cup Water
Grind the bread slices into small pieces..Add chopped onions,grated carrot,baking powder, salt, coriander n curry leaves n rice flour with the grinded bread pieces..mix everything well n smash a little bit the veggies n add water to form as vada batter..Leave this batter for 10 minutes.
Dont keep this batter in fridge, fry it immediately.Heat oil for deepfry n fry as we do for vadais.Dont fry until they turns too brown coz they may be very dry while eating, fry until they turns slightly brown.Drain the excess of oil in paper towel.
Serve with ketchup..it will be very crispy..
Can soak them in curd r else in sambar to make them dahi vadas n sambar vadas..

Thts one instant crispy wada,and addition of carrots reduce my guilt of eating fried stuff ;-)
