Zucchini N Sprouted Greengram Kurma

Sprouted dals r very healthy n full of proteins, as i had a bowl full of sprouted greengram n as well as zucchini in my fridge, thought of creating myself this recipe, as i need a side for my hot idlies..the result was amazing n delicious, mildly spicy n healthy, everyone at home liked them much...this kurma goes awesome with hot rice n papads too...

1cup Zucchini (pieces)
1/2 cup Sprouted greengram
1tsp Ginger paste
1tsp Garlic paste
1tsp Garam masala powder
2nos Green chillies
1tbsp Poppy seeds
1/4cup Grated coconut
2nos Bay leaves, cinnamon sticks n cloves
1no Onion medium ( chopped finely)
1no Tomato(chopped)
1tsp Peppercorns n cumin seed
Oil ( as per need)
Salt
2tbsp Coriander leaves chopped

Pressure cook sprouted greengram with a cup of water until 3 whistles..heat oil in a kadai, add the bay leaves, cinnamon sticks n cloves n fry them well, now add the finely chopped onions, tomatoes n ginger garlic paste n stir them until raw smell goes away as well as the veggies get well cooked..

Meanwhile dry roast poppy seeds, pepper corns n cumin seeds..keep aside..add the one cup of zucchini pieces to the already cooked veggies n stir it until it get cooked a bit add the garam masala powder, green chillies now with salt as per need...grind the roasted spices with coconut in a blender with a cup of water..

Add the already cooked moongdal to the zucchini pieces with cooked water..bring them to boil, once they starts boiling add the grounded spices to the gravy..stir them well n cook with lid closed until the zucchini gets cooked well stir them occasionally..add the finely chopped coriandre leaves n put off the stove..
This kurma goes well with Parathas, chappathis, idlies as well as with dosais..can feed kids very easily as they r spiced mildly..
