Priya, these are just perfect. I love the use of ragi flour which is so unusual. Thanks for such an inspiring and unique recipe. My email, by the way, is vaishalihonawar@gmail.com. But if you have trouble sending it, don't worry, I'll pick it from your page.

Priya, What is Vegetable Shortening? Can we do this cookies with out that? any ragi fluor is ok? or any special kind we need? Pls clear soon.. this pics are tempting me a lot Priya
Arthi vegetable shortening is an artifical butter made from vegetable oil, as this recipe is vegan, i used vegetable shortening, u can replace them well with butter(room temperature), its a must coz they will turn the cookies soft,i didnt used any spl ragi flour in this recipe,u can try with usual ragi flour..hope this helps...happy baking Arthi..
Priya, you won't believe how much excited i got on seeing this recipe at the roundup. This looks so much like the cookies that my grandpa used to buy for me when i was a kid and just few days back i remembered that and was thinking where on earth will i find those cookies again. Thank you so much for bringing back my memories and the recipe :)
