Kesar Mawa Burfi

Today is Diwali, and Indians all around the world will be celebrating with loads of sweets and savouries. As like every year, today is working day here. Obviously we dont have that much fun as much as like we have in India. Every year i miss the fun and festival mood here but wat to do, its almost going to be ages, i celebrated this festivals of lights in India.However i'll try to make couple of savouries and sweets to celebrate diwali here at home. But this time, since i started my studies i couldnt make anything special and just prepared some murukkus aka chakli and this kesar mawa burfi. This burfi is definitely quite easy to make. A quick burfi to make with simple ingredients, since i had some unsweetened mawa aka khoya at home i simply made this beautiful kesar burfi.

Kesar Mawa Burfi, Saffron Khoya Burfi

This burfi takes hardly less than 20minutes to get ready.One of the quickest burfi to give a try if you dont have that much time to make a sweet for diwali. Am sure this burfi will definitely satisfy your sweet tooth.Make this easy breezy burfi and share with your friends and relatives. Wishing you all again a Joyful, Sparkling and Happy Diwali.

Saffron Khoya Burfi, Mawa burfi

2cups Unsweetened Mawa/Khoya
1/4cup Milk powder
3/4cup Sugar
4tbsp Ghee
Few Saffron strands
Few chopped nuts

Take the unsweetened khoya,saffron strands, milk powder, sugar, mix everything well,keep aside.

Heat the ghee in a heavy bottomed pan, add this mixture and stir in low flame until the ghee gets separates.

Remove from the heat and pour this burfi on a greased plate,spread the burfi with a flat spoon.

Sprinkle the chopped nuts on the top, keep aside and let it cool completely..

Cut as squares.

Enjoy..

Kesar Mawa Burfi recette traduite en Français:

2tasses Mawa/Khoya/Paneer (fromage Indien), non-sucré
1/4tasses Lait en poudre
3/4tasses Sucre
4c à soupe Beuree clarifiée
1/2c à cafe Brins de safran
Noix hachées

Prenez le khoya/fromage Indien non sucré,les brins de safran,lait en poudre,le sucre dans un bol.

Chauffez le beurre clarifié dans une poêle à fond épais, ajoutez ce mélange et incorporez au feu doux jusqu'à ce que le beurre clarifié se sépare.

Retirez de la chaleur et versez ce melange sur une plaque graissée, étalez la avec une cuillère plate.

Saupoudrez les noix hachées et laissez refroidir complètement ..

Coupez en carrés et dégustez.

perfect french, perfect barfi and you are so right festivals are fun in India. Hubby and I miss our family during this festive time. Do you actually get mawa in France? Happy Diwali.

@Vineetha & @Mayuri, my BIL came recently from India and i asked him to bring some sugarless khoya, else i dont get them here..
